Standard interconnect

Linn Black interconnect cable is our standard cable for connecting Majik or Akurate components in a Linn system.

This cable is derived from the low capacitance polystyrene dielectric cable used originally to carry the signal from a turntable and cartridge to a pre-amplifier. This phono signal is probably the most demanding of all signals in any audio system, usually less than one thousandth of the signal between a CD player and an amplifier. A cable good enough to handle this signal will accurately transfer any other low level audio signals in an audio or AV system.

Low loss, extensive shielding

Linn Silver interconnect cable shares the same low capacitance, low loss dielectric of the Black interconnect cable but has much more extensive shielding.

In any environment with electrical noise present, this is a real benefit. The stiffer construction formed by the heavy double-braided shielding makes the cable much more robust and essentially free of microphony.
