The S3 Series draws inspiration from decades of production results achieved by the historical Series 3, 5 and 6. The technical experience gained through the study and the development of individual models marked the history of the brand Solidsteel from more of twenty years. Thanks to the priority given on the quality research for the materials used, all the main characteristics of the previous technical products - made by welding - merge with the technical properties developed over the years from the Hyperspike line and gives life to a range of equipments mainly characterized by the excellence, the quality and the simplicity of its components. The refined and basilar style of the discontinued Series is unmistakably present in the new S3 Series, which is always the result of a passion for listening, for the audiophile and, above all, for music. In particular, the use of structural materials finely processed - carefully selected and of absolute Italian origin - allows the realization of a variety of supports with excellent functional properties, able to meet any type of need, both for a common Hi-Fi system that for a more complex setting. This line marks ultimately an important evolution within our product range thanks to its technical properties and offers to the listeners, like never before for what may concern our old welded products, as well an aesthetic improvement for this category of racks and bases, able in this way to be a point of reference for a wide variety of spaces and locations.

If the aim of the Hyperspike Series is to achieve new goals in performance, excellence in workmanship materials used while offering solutions to audio system designs, then the very latest Hyperspike Junior combines this distinction with convenience, thanks to a well though out cost control analysis that makes possible to keep the overall performance at a very high level yet. The Hyperspike Junior Series incorporates the main mechanical characteristics and materials of the "no compromise" reference level Hyperspike range but at a fraction of the cost. The pillars are made of solid, polished steel and the shelves from 30mm thick MDF Light. The containment in costs for the HJ Series has been achieved by simplifying some elements. The shelves are of a simpler design, with parallel sides making it easier and less costly to manufacture. The decoupling spikes though without o-rings, remains threaded and adjustable. Finally, the finishing of the shelves, available only in embossed black, is very functional and aesthetically neutral. The Solidsteel Hyperspike Junior Series isolation rack was designed to provide reference level support for your audio system without the price tag.

The S2 Series is our entry level range of products created to satisfy the very essential needs of those who have necessity of placing components on a basilar vertical structure made of italian quality materials with a considerable convenience of prices. These modular products are designed for the most common components dimensions and are available only in two configurations: with 3, 4 or 5 shelves. Solidsteel S2 Series audio racks provide incredible isolation, increased audio performance, and rock-solid stability in an elegant design. Form follows function on S2, as the line's clean looks blend in with any aesthetic. Boasting technological advancements that make for an even better-sounding and non-resonant structure, the Italian-made S2 Series takes equipment racks – and your components and music – to new levels of audiophile fulfillment. Quality construction
Each SolidSteel S3-2 shelf is made of thick vibration-dampening MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). The supporting aluminum pillars are packed with dampening material for added stability and to prevent the transmission of vibrations. Both the pillars and the shelves are coated with a black polymer laminate, which further dampens vibrations.
The four pillars rest on solid steel carpet spikes that virtually isolate the stand — and the components it holds — from vibrations transmitted through the floor.[/expand]

Anyone considering the move to purpose-built hi-fi supports from whatever side table or cupboard is currently employed for this duty, should check out the S2-4 from Solidsteel. Granted, there may be similarly-priced racks on the market, but scant few offer the space, build quality, and heritage of the S2 at this price.
