Destinat pentru a fi în centrul unui sistem audio performant, CTA305 este un preamplificator audio, foarte flexibil cu cinci intrări de linie, incluzând un phonostage MM/MC. Pentru pasionatii cu colectii mari de LP-uri, acest amplificator oferă posibilitatea de a asculta toate nuantele din inregistrari.

Besides amplifying the signal a few times and the facility of switching input sources, the primary purpose of the preamplifier is to control the sound level while matching the impedances between the signal source and the power amplifier.

The amplifying and buffering circuitry of the CTA305 is composed by reliable type 6922 low noise valves. The Line stage provides 5 db. gain – perfect for today's line level sources. It is a true Class A circuit, capable of driving an interconnect cable of unspecified electric characteristics and the input of a power amplifier while swinging 20 Volts at the output peak to peak.

Descriere CSA70
Created for the dedicated music lover, the CSA70 is designed to provide exceptional audio performance that belies its power rating and price. The CSA70 provides four digital inputs, three analogue inputs, line out function, as well as pre-out terminal, front facing 6.3mm headphone output, and a 70 Watts per channel power amplifier that will surprise users who thought their speakers were power hungry. For the vinyl enthusiast we have included an excellent phono pre amplifier.

Contrary to its bigger brothers, CSA100/CSA150 the CSA70 does not employ tubes in the line stage. The CSA70 preamplifier section is a solid stage architecture with a vanishingly low distortion. The CSA70 boasts the same power amplifier technology as the CSA100/CSA150 with a feedback structure inherently faster than conventional amplifiers and a wide large-signal frequency response. The amplifier is ruggedly constructed and designed to deal with the most awkward of dynamic loads that may be presented by the loudspeakers, and this contributes to the amplifiers excellent transient handling capability.

The CSA100 integrated amplifier is a part of the latest work by Copland, aiming to combine the advantages of tubes and transistor amplification using the synectic design concept that previously has made Copland hybrid amplifiers widely acclaimed.

One tube is responsible for the CSA100 line amplification and the efficiency of this single tube layout is astonishing. The double triode tube runs at high voltage in a setup for maximum linearity, taking care of the voltage amplification only. A MOS-FET circuitry delivers the brute force driving the line stage output and feedback circuitry, thus securing a firm handshake between the world of electronic tubes governed by voltage and the current controlled transistor technology.

If you prefer the warm and nice colored charm of some older tube designs look elsewhere, the CSA100 tube line stage is made for monitoring. In this application the tube provides life, headroom and dynamics hard to find in amplifiers relying on solid stage technology only.

A single chassis machined from aluminium alloy to avoid magnetic interference. For the vinyl enthusiast the CSA100 has RIAA input for moving magnet or high output moving coil cartridges.The amplifier also employs an excellent D/A converter with multiple S/PDIF inputs, PCM, and DSD capabilities using the ES9018 Reference 32-bit DAC in quad-mono configuration, 8 mono to 2 stereo configuration.

The CSA150 amplifier is equipped with a 2 x 150 W semiconductor stage with current feedback of the power stage, and the signal is supplied from the preamplifier operating on a double triode.

One tube is responsible for the linear amplification of the CSA150. The applied solution is distinguished by amazing efficiency. The dual triode operates at high voltage in a configuration for maximum linearity, taking care only of the voltage amplification. The MOS-FET circuit, in turn, provides a powerful force that drives the linear stage output and feedback circuit, thus facilitating the collaboration between the world of voltage-controlled electronic tubes and current-controlled transistor technology.

If you want the warm and colorful charm of older tube designs, the CSA150 tube linear stage will give you that experience. In this case, the tube creates life, space and dynamics that are difficult to find in amplifiers based solely on solid state technology.

With the vinyl enthusiast in mind, the designers have equipped the CSA150 with a RIAA-corrected input for MM cartridges. The amplifier also uses an excellent DAC with multiple S / PDIF, PCM and DSD inputs, based on the 32-bit ES9018 Reference chip in a quad-mono configuration, 8 mono to 2 stereo configuration.

Copland's new CSA150 is a seriously capable integrated amplifier. In absolute terms – compared to the best amps money can buy – it lacks incision, depth perspective and bass grip, but it's one of the finest sounding designs at its price – and my own personal current favourite. Compared to Creek's excellent Voyage i20, for example – which is just a little cheaper – it offers extra power and a more pleasing tonality, allied to a subtly more musical character. I really took to it, and reckon that despite its immodest price, it is still excellent value for money.

THE COMPACT SOLUTION – MINIATURIZATION NEVER QUITE MADE IT TO COPLAND

There is nothing like an excellent tube amplifier. An amplifier that simultaneously offer a midrange that is open and clear, highs with an unconstrained mobility and acceleration, and a deep, tight and free flowing bass reproduction.

The CTA408 Integrated Amplifier is intended for those who prefer the ease of a single chassis amplification, still wanting the performance of separates. It offers such amenities as separate MC and MM phono inputs, Monitoring in/outputs, Headphone amplifier and a startup procedure that vastly prolongs the tube life.

During the last decades, advances in technology has offered new possibilities for circuit optimization, using components and technology mainly unavailable for the previous designers of tube amplifiers.

Inside the CTA408 is one of the most carefully conceived tube amplification engines available.

• Driver stage tubes supported by MOSFET circuitry.
• Numerous individual power supplies, designed to operate with constant power, thereby isolating power stage fluctuations from entering the input stages and eliminating reverse modulation towards the AC supply grid.
• Dedicated Class A headphone amplifier, (speaker output mutes on headphone insertion)
• Excellent J-FET- Phono-amplifier. Active RIAA equalization employing more than one hundred discrete components inside a noise-shielding box of its own.
• The output transformers are Copland in-house design, fine-tuned for optimal power bandwidth. The massive core size of the transformers prevents core saturation, and they are able to transfer full power well below 20Hz to the loudspeakers with a minimum of phase shift. Multiple layers of interleaving wires ensures a superb linearity. The extended high frequency performance reduces the requirements for internal lag compensation after the amplifiers 15dB negative feedback loop is closed.
• The amplifier power plant is based on the KT150 power valves. These valves are the latest variant of the legendary 6550/KT88 power valves and in the CTA408, they surely demonstrate that the everlasting sound qualities of tubes can be extended into regions nowadays dominated by solid stage designs
