Acoustique Quality Wega 73

The AQ Wega 73 speaker system was created in collaboration between the Novague design studio and the AQ development center. The initial idea was: let's forget what was previously created and start from scratch. The work took longer than the team members could have imagined at the beginning. All developers first had to learn to perceive the arguments of others and break established rules.

The result in the form of AQ Wega 73 definitely deserved the time and effort. The elegant, slim two-way speaker system with a bass-reflex enclosure respects and uses acoustic principles. The result is particularly striking in the combination of natural veneer and black base. The design is perfectly clean, there are no screws or distracting elements on the front. The material continues with clean transitions and smooth lines. Thanks to the construction of the trapezoid-shaped baffle and the attached base, there were fewer parallel reflective surfaces inside the speaker, which significantly reduced standing waves inside the baffle.

In the lower part, the speaker system is equipped with three adjustable tips. It is therefore easy to precisely position the speaker on any floor surface. The trio of contact points eliminates the transmission of vibrations between the loudspeaker and the surroundings. To protect vulnerable floors, protective bowls under the spikes are also supplied with the speaker system.

A pair of six-inch woofers with a layered paper diaphragm with carrier fibers are seamlessly integrated into the cabinet. The unwanted diffraction edge was eliminated with a metal part. This tandem is able to faithfully transmit the lowest bass frequencies as well as the midrange of the human voice.

Vifa tweeter with a 25 mm air coil in a magnetic field created by a neodymium magnet. The linear motor is housed in a closed chamber, which extends the range even to lower frequencies. The diaphragm with a toroidal shape is supplemented with a directional cone in the middle.
The electronic crossover inside the loudspeaker is located on a panel with soldering points. The crossover is of the second order and all the components used are carefully selected and matched. The internal connection is made by D2D technology and no faston connections are used inside the loudspeaker. The connection terminal is screw-type.

In terms of sound, the AQ Wega 73 speaker system will please all lovers of natural music, its presentation is very balanced and precise, it also brilliantly handles dynamic passages. A good speaker system can play equally well loud and quiet, and the developers managed to achieve this with the elegant AQ Wega 73.
