As the reference model of the Premium Series, the Premium 801 combines innovative technology with characteristic PIEGA elegance. The ribbon tweeter with integrated horn, used for the first time, ensures a high-resolution, dynamic high-frequency range, while the dedicated midrange driver and four powerful bass drivers create a powerful, precise foundation. The result: a natural, spatial sound image that allows music to be experienced with impressive clarity and depth.

RIBBON TWEETER WITH HORN RM 01-24

The newly developed SSD ribbon tweeter (Super Symmetric Drive) with horn attachment ensures natural, precise sound with high dynamics and minimal distortion.

WOOFER FSD-W

Four FSD-based chassis are responsible for the low frequency range. They ensure high level stability and superior bass control.

BASS-MIDRANGE DRIVER FSD-M

With its FSD (Full Symmetric Drive) technology, the midrange driver delivers particularly linear movement and natural, relaxed reproduction.

ALUMINIUM HOUSING

The housing is formed out of a extruded aluminium profile under more than 5,000 tonnes of pressure – a process that is nearly unique in loudspeaker construction. This results in a construction that is extremely strong and low in resonance.

FLEXIBLE POSITIONING

Thanks to its sophisticated cabinet architecture, the Premium 801 can be placed close to walls without any problems – an aesthetically minimalist integration without any acoustic compromises.

The Premium 801 blends harmoniously into any interior thanks to its clean lines and living space-friendly proportions. Three elegant colour options and three different base options allow for discreet and high-quality integration.

PRECISION, DYNAMICS AND A TOUCH OF HORN MAGIC

The heart of the Premium 801 is the newly developed ribbon tweeter. The moving mass of the foil is only 0.03 grams, which enables extremely fast impulse response and high detail resolution.

The horn attachment increases efficiency by almost double, enables a lower crossover frequency of around 2.7 kHz and extends the presence range. The horn precisely focuses the sound, reduces unwanted reflections from the floor and ceiling, and moves the acoustic centre of the high frequencies almost to the level of the midrange driver.
Its complex design, made from a special acoustically optimised material, was developed through numerous prototypes and versions until the geometry, rigidity and surface finish were perfectly matched to the desired sound dispersion.
